Curlew Cottage is a beautiful, character self catering holiday Cottage located in the peaceful hamlet of Dunstan. Situated just a short distance from the fishing Village of Craster and Northumberland's glorious heritage coastline, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Cottage has been beautifully renovated to an extremely high standard whilst keeping all of its original character. It's the perfect base to explore all that Northumberland has to offer.
Our stunning period, stone built Cottage is situated in an idyllic rural Hamlet and offers views of the coast and Dunstanburgh Castle from the upper floors, perfect for a relaxing holiday. It's just a short walk to the coast from the front door of the Cottage, with miles of stunning beaches, fishing villages and the iconic Dunstanburgh Castle ruins nearby.
Our three bedroom Cottage offers stunning accommodation for six people, including master bedroom with king size bed and a spacious en suite with walk in shower, one twin bedroom and a further double bedroom. There is a stylish and comfortable lounge with a cast iron log burner, beautiful kitchen diner and well fitted main bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower cubicle. Downstairs there is a sunny bespoke conservatory to enjoy whatever the weather. Outside there is an enclosed decked seating area to the rear and a pretty flower garden with picnic table to the front. Families are welcome in Curlew Cottage, we also accept one well behaved dog and have off street parking.
Just a short stroll from Curlew Cottage is The Cottage Inn, A very friendly hostelry with a beautiful beer garden in woodland. The Fishing Village of Craster is easily accessible, just half a mile away with it's good range of amenities including the recently refurbished Jolly Fisherman pub, Mick Oxley Gallery, Shoreline Cafe, a Children's Play Area and Tourist Information Centre. Curlew Cottage is a beautiful base situated in a fantastic location to explore all that Northumberland has to offer. There is a huge variety of Things To Do, Attractions and is an excellent base for Walking.
Curlew Cottage is easily accessible from the North and South of the Country via the A1, just a short five mile drive from this main road that runs through the heart of Northumberland. Approx 40 miles North of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and 30 miles South of Berwick-Upon-Tweed. The nearest train station is Alnmouth, 7 miles to the South. Dunstan and Craster are both served by frequent public transport.
